RESEARCH Part A.

Map - Somerset 33 - plan of York Plains and Sorell Springs

- surveyor T Scott landholder LIVISTON W AF396-1-978

York Plains (near Oatlands).

200 years ago... In January 1817 Thomas Peters was granted 100 acres of land. It was located on both sides of the 1876 railway line that I am pointing to. I am standing beside Sorrel Springs Rd. where it bends very close to the rivulet end of his land. The Peters property stretched South from Tin Dish Rivulet to the line of trees that can be seen in the distance.  See: https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Tin+Dish+Rivulet/@-42.2464146,147.4377009,1003m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0xaa71c248ab030e2d:0x615e77d179a88d2e!8m2!3d-42.2714172!4d147.4465276
